We only ask for the details we need, we keep them safe, and we never sell them. Here's exactly what we do with them.

Who we are

This website is run by Mimi's Ice Cream Factory Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number 16382299), with its registered office at Unit 3, Rotary Way, Gosforth Park, Newcastle upon Tyne NE3 5EH. We run Mimi's Ice Cream Factory in Gosforth and at Newcastle Quays. We are responsible for the personal details you give us through this website. What we collect, and why

• Event news and presale sign-ups. When you sign up to hear about events or join a presale list, we collect your first name and email address. For our dog mornings we also ask for your dog's name and breed, so we can invite you to the right morning. We use these details to send you early access, event news and occasional news from Mimi's.
• Emails you send us. If you email us about parties, hosting a group, private hire or stocking Mimi's pots, we use your details to reply and to arrange what you've asked for.

We don't ask children for their details. Sign-ups are for grown-ups.

Our legal reasons

We send event news and presale emails because you've asked us to (your consent). You can change your mind at any time. We reply to enquiries because it's needed to deal with what you've asked for, or because it's in our legitimate interest to answer customers.

Bookings, tickets and ordering

Table bookings, birthday party tables, event tickets and our ordering and loyalty account are handled by our booking and till partners, ICRTouch (TouchReservation and ByTable). When you use those pages, the details you enter are handled under their terms and privacy policies, as well as ours.

Where your details are kept

Sign-ups are stored securely in our Google Workspace account, which only our team can access. If we use an email service to send our news, your name and email will be shared with it for that purpose only. We never sell or rent your details to anyone.

How long we keep them

We keep sign-up details until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them. If we haven't been in touch with you for two years, we'll delete them. Enquiry emails are kept for as long as we need them to deal with your request and any follow-up.

Cookies and other services

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, our flavour board is read from Google Sheets, and links to maps, Instagram and our booking pages take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the details we hold about you, ask us to correct them, or ask us to delete them. You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any email, or by emailing hello@mimisicecreamfactory.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your details, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
